Eugene Allen and Henry Haller

This photograph of longtime White House employees Eugene Allen (left) and Henry Haller (right) was taken in December 1977 in the State Dining Room, possibly during a staff Christmas party during the Jimmy Carter administration. Allen worked from 1952 to 1986 as a pantryman, butler, and maître dhotel. Haller served as executive chef from 1966-1987. This photograph is part of Chef Haller's personal collection.
